On Thanksgiving, we give thanks. On Black Friday, we get deals. On Cyber Monday, we get online. On #GivingTuesday, we give back!

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration~
Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
Help us to give seniors a comfortable and safe place to live and to enjoy their golden years. With a donation to the M. R. Conic Foundation, you can be part of a community that pours a bit of sunshine and kindness into the life of a senior.
November 30th promises to be a big day for seniors in Jackson, Mississippi and we’re hoping you can help us deliver on that promise! We’re joining the #GivingTuesday national day of generosity, and we have set a goal to raise $20,000 for Friends of M. R. Conic Foundation. Your participation in this special day of giving back will go towards helping seniors become part of an inclusive and embracing community.
According to a 2012 study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, both social isolation and loneliness are associated with a higher risk of mortality in adults aged 52 and older. For seniors living alone, phone calls and visits can be a critical part of connecting with loved ones. A New Beginning will offer a community for seniors and caregivers facing isolation. Our ultimate goal is to provide services, resources and support so elders can live and age with dignity and independence. Help starts here.
How can you be a part of #GivingTuesday? It’s simple!

Thank you sincerely for your support on #GivingTuesday and for everything you do for the M. R. Conic Foundation throughout the year.
As we have done in the past, during this pandemic, we are still looking for ways to help seniors. Thus far, our Senior Education Program has been able to donate computers, food, and personal protective items, as well as gift cards for Thanksgiving to seniors who live in Hinds County and Rankin County. These activities have been led by Mrs. Connie Tate Martin.
